Embarking on a cruise comes with rules and conditions, you break those rules, they have every right to kick you off. If the safety officer told him nothing more would happen if he went back to his room, why was he kicked off? There must be more to the story. He should have told them about the meds and they would have sorted something out. Either removed the wife too, or kept him onboard with strict conditions.
