Do you think there will ever be a cure for diabetes, hiv, alzheimer's.
I've just always wondered if any of these diseases will ever have a cure. The list goes on and on.

I believe they want to delay diabetes cure as long as possible because they make so much money off of it.
My best friend has aids and with the right treatment it's now untraceable in his blood. Sadly its all about how much money u have these days that affords you the best treatments available. Not everyone is as fortunate and that's so truly unfair when the closest thing to a cure is out there...
Yes. And I pray every day that there will be a cure for every condition that needs one. You gotta have hope.
Since it's just cell division, it should be possible to stop it, but maybe not. Maybe just some poison killing the useless divided cells would work.
i hate having type 1 diabetes. ive had it since i was 2. it sucks so bad.
New cures and then new diseases. It's a scam of the pharmaceutical companies.
Doubt it, diabetes was rare 50 years ago, why is everyone having it now? All the shit the inject in our food, all the shit we eat that wasn't even on earth before. I doubt it will stop so that's a no. I doubt HIV will be gone either. I have to say though even if they do find a cure, something worse will just come out of all it.
With AIDS, I always wondered why there's such an emphasis on cure. It's MUCH more likely to be able to create a vaccine. AIDS is no more special than any other virus as far as how it infects-we can't cure ANY virus, not just AIDS. We have not figured it out yet, due to how a virus multiplies (it injects itself into your own cells and uses your cells to multiply). If they can figure out how to cure ONE virus, it will work on ALL viruses. BUT-we have plenty of vaccines to guard against many different viruses, so it just seems that the better route to go is to put most emphasis on is a vaccine.
I don't know, I'm not sure if some diseases will ever be able to be cured, I'm really not sure.
Yeah I should have put vaccine instead but HIV is a virus that is majorly different than most other viruses.
You know they cured aids in babies. They are close to a cure in cancer and They also are making something to help people with rapid aging disease to age slower.
It's mechanics are no different though. There's no difference between AIDS and a viral cold or pneumonia, really. It's all in how it replicates. THAT'S the mystery, how to stop it from replicating. bacteria is easy, virus is difficult, and as yet impossible for us to stop.
Alright, this is bothering me. HIV is the virus. AIDS is not...it's caused by HIV. The problem with a vaccine is that most infection occurs through cell contact with an infected cell so antibodies are not able to access the virus. There's just so much to the virus. I think maybe the only hope is to just wait a looong time until the virus becomes avirulent as seen with SIV.
