However, I know some very good users who have been or even still are underage, yet are major (and very good) contributors to the site.
While I don't feel comfortable with some younger teens being on here, considering the content and what have you, I don't think seperating or banning (unless their behaviour is inappropriate - though I think that should be for any member, regardless of age) is the answer.
Yeah. Either way, though, there's no way of restricting it. Or at least I can't think of one. I mean, you don't have to be a member to read the site. Anyone can do that. And even when signing up, you can obviously lie about your age. I know I'm 18 now, so I'm actually allowed to use the site now, but I obviously have been underage for a lot of my time here. I would like to hope that I haven't been one of the negative users, and I know that there are great users who are underage.
Like I said, I think a site for younger users is pointless. I do think children shouldn't be able to access things which they seriously shouldn't see, but that's a different matter entirely, really. And I don't see that as being the responsibility of the site's owners, but rather parents and all that sort of thing.:P Either way, I can't see it working well, and my brains too flajeebed and flaggered to work right now. Ahh, greyness. Yes, it's grey indeed! Probably. I can't remember where I was going with this:P.
Do you think there should be a separate IIN site for younger people?

But who would answer their questions? More clueless 14 year olds? I think it's a bad idea, and pretty pointless.

This.
It's a grey area, I admit.

You're definitely one of the better users of any age :)
Exactly. Parents need to be responsible for the way their children use the internet.
Flajeebed. I love that word. I'm stealing it ;)
I believe this site name is called "Is It Normal", not "Gimme Advice on Life".
