When I was a freshman, half of us were tossed into trash cans. I would have loved to have just been told I had four more years because I really did.
If it is just friendly, it's fine. But because a harsh rule has been made, it can be inferred that either someone complained and didn't find it fun, or whoever makes the rules is just very out of touch.
Do you think the phrase "4 more years!" is hazing?
