I read somewhere that certain zodiacs go with other zodiacs and that depending on what your sign is, it determines who you're capable with. Is this true?

Anyone who believes that the month that they were born in or the location of the planets in relation to the Earth has ANY baring on their relationships with strangers is a monumental imbecile and should, at all costs, be prevented from procreating, so as not to spread their stupidity.
The time of year you were born does affect personality in a similar way that being born first, middle, last, or only child will affect you. Its a bit more subtle than astrologers want you to think though. People born in the fall after school starts tend to be smarter than people in the same grade as them because they've had nearly a year more time to develop and grow. I don't know what other ways time of year can affect personality, but I encourage everyone to look it up and learn more about it if you want.
I don't really believe in that stuff, but interestingly enough, all my serious girl friends before 31 were Pisces, every one!
After 31 it became Gemini and included both children. Go figure?
It is true to an extent, but not entirely. All sign combos can work, some just require more effort than others. My parents are incompatible signs and they've been married for 30+ years.
Well it kind of depends. For me, my friends are all zodiacs the zodiac says i get along with. But some people OBVIOUSLY think it's a load of bs.
It does play part in my relationships: if the girl can't give that shit a rest, that's my key to walk away.
When I was young I really didn't understand how could so many people be that ignorant, in this day and age, in order to buy into that crap. That's because I was young and innocent and didn't quite get the whole picture. But now I do: all that stuff is for the female gender.

Astrology is based on very, extremely, completely, totally erroneous and flawed ideas about how the universe is laid out and works. Could not be more wrong. Even if one wanted to believe that planets and stars shaped ones life or destiny, one would have to start with accurate ideas about where planets and stars are, and how they move and their gravity and such. That isn't the case with astrology.
To an extent. I believe it's true that people often fit a lot of the characteristics of their sign. I mean really, rather than just read about it and convince themselves they fit the description. So by that logic, it will have an effect on compatibility in relationships. Try being with someone who's the same sign as you - that can be a laugh! lol
It's called cold reading. Eg a subset of it is the rainbow ruse or the act of saying something and something opposite to it such that you'll seem to find some truth in it. Psychics do this too.
Examples:"Most of the time you are positive and cheerful, but there has been a time in the past when you were very upset."
"You are a very kind and considerate person, but when somebody does something to break your trust, you feel deep-seated anger."
"I would say that you are mostly shy and quiet, but when the mood strikes you, you can easily become the center of attention."
