Same thing, you can nuke a Roach AND a Human in the microwave, both won't die. Humans and cockroaches (and let's not forget termites) can and do indeed live in space under the same conditions. All I'm saying is humans have advanced to a point where we can survive temporarily at the rim of a live volcano and not die from the heat due to technology, hence a fire-suit. Bring a jar full of Termites/roaches up there and they'd be dead before you could give the volcano a rimjob.
My point is humans are far to technologically advanced at this point for every human to parish on this Earth. Due to technology humans have become 100% self sufficient and capable of living underground indefinitely forever or until the sun burns out. Humans are trashing this planet but that doesn't mean mankind will go extinct.
I guess you missed the part where the "bugs" don't need the technology. That's ok, we'll dine on what's left of your corpse and plant our children in your flesh when you're gone.

How can a bug thrive in zero gravity when it wouldn't know how to feed itself? It'd more likely drown itself trying to drink.
