Do you think that calling someone "nice" is a bland compliment?

Just wondering, do you think that "nice" is a bland/boring compliment? I mean, I know it can possibly be a sincere compliment, but sometimes it seems like there are cases where people call others "nice" when they don't have anything else to say about their personality?? Do you think that being called "nice" continuously so many times by so many people is a good thing or a bad thing? I don't know, I am just curious and I want others opinions. Thanks!

I've had people be offended when I've called them nice. Nice is one of the top qualities I value in people, so fuck them if they think it's sn insult. Clearly, I misjudged their niceness.

All compliments seem bland to me.

I find it almost insulting, it would be better if they'd say nothing at all. It sounds forced and boorish.

No. It's a big compliment. With so many mean or selfish people out there, nice really stands out in a good way.

    It's nice.

Nah it's just the simple go-to word for people with limited (or inhibited by drink) lexicon. You could try harder and be more imaginative, but calling someone "nice" is never a bad thing.
