Unfortunately, in my country, AA is not considered a religious organization, since they claim on paper to allow people of all religions and faiths to join their ranks. The prayers and rituals they would force us to do, called to a "higher power". They told everyone that you can choose what your own higher power is. Be it a god or a stick. According to them, atheists must also have a higher power or some form of spirituality in their life in order to function as a normal human being.
Do you think that AA/NA is a cult?

If you're in the United States, forcing you into a religious organization such as AA under threat of legal action was unconstitutional.
