      • Everyone is afraid of death, but many of these religious nutjobs are so afraid, they think that their God will save them and lead them to heaven. The idea of God allows them to hold them to the delusion that they get special place after their death.

        • Why not have that line of thinking? Being terrified of death is natural it's the ceasing of exsistance. It's a feeling that magnified by the fact that humans can comprehend what ceasing to exsist means in the real world. So a religious belief to hold on to is a optimistic thought process.

          Stop being an arrogant dick.

            • Isaac Newton was a Christian. Was he weak minded? This idea that people who practice a religion are ignorant or weak-minded or naive or delusional or whatever other thing is nothing more than bigotry.

              • How does Newton's christian beliefs support your case? Most people in the old ages used to be religious, atheists did exist but had to live in hiding lest they be tortured and killed for their ideas. Newton may be a smart guy academically but he was a human too( not immune to fear of death)
By the way, newton used to believe in alchemy too.
