That's not true, if you have children then their lives presumably have been shaped by you which will affect how they rear their children and assuming you deserve the title of parent this is a good chain of positive karma that lasts beyond your death
Also anything else you have going, I have a small dream of opening up an orphanage with a staff of cooks, tutors, etc that would also have some apartment buildings that could be owned by the orphanage that uses the revenue generated by the buildings, which would also cater to orphans who turn 18. If I set that up right, it could be a long standing resource for people to get an edge after having their blade break
