Yes, it did happen, and yes, it was accepted. That doesn't mean it still wasn't very wrong though.
I'm glad you don't want to go killing babies. It is just very disturbing to me that you don't think that doing so is inherently evil. It implies you think there are certain circumstances in which it is OK to do so. With this I vehemently disagree. Normally, I'm a really tolerant guy, but when it comes to stuff like this, I most certainly am not. I don't respect your opinion in this matter at all.
