  • oh and prose athlete...you dont know what you are talking about...everybody thinks mental illness sufferers are so extreme...most of the time you cant even tell someone has a mental illness unless you take them to a professional and even then everyone says the professional is wrong and just trying to get you on some med...trust me this girl has a severe case of BDD

    • Really? I try to stay away from diagnosing strangers with mental disorders online, especially when those disorders can be crippling. But hey, Doctor DavidS, go ahead and give someone advice that'll mess up their lives.

      My mother-in-law was a therapist for years, by the way, so I do know some things about mental and emotional illnesses. I also know that it's a really bad idea to tell people online that they'll "end up like Michael Jackson" if you sincerely believe they have a psychological disorder.

      But you're right, David. It makes much more sense to tell someone they're sick and "worse than most BDD's." You have a bright future ahead of you as a psychologist, clearly. :)
