I'm assuming "no" means I don't think they should practice religion. That would be my answer.
A child is not old enough to undertand what they are committed to. By the time they are they have been indoctrinated enough and would typically find it hard to see other view points or look at their religion critically.
Everyone is born an atheist. Yes, atheism should be the default viewpoint of a child. Referring to a child as Christian/Jewish, etc would be no different than referring to the child as a Republican or Democrat.
I agree. My mom started trying to make me a Christian when I was about four. But when I was eleven I revealed that I didn't care about religion and that I was an athiest. My mom said I couldn't choose so I kept being an athiest in secret.
Children should not be told that there is a magical man in the sky watching you every second of every day and if they piss him off he Will send you to a place of torture until the end of time... If they wanna believe in fairy tales when they are a adult, then that's on them
Do you think children should practice religion?
