No I don't think it exists, i think it's because the person has had failed relationships with either a man or a woman or both & they see turning asexual as the only way to be. Maybe the person doesn't get approached by guys or if it's a guy they can't approach other girls or they are rejected. I don't have a degree in the field of psychology or related field but that's what I think.
There is asexual couples like the person above said. They love each other like every other couple but they don't want/need sex like most people do. What you are talking about is someone who gets rejected and claim to be asexual because he cannot have any sex life. It's not the same thing.
