Of course. Sex is a wonderful thing, and surely you would want a partner who was attracted to you. If someone wants to have sex with me, I can only see how that could be a positive thing going forward. That's really all there is to it.
Projecting other meanings onto first date sex shows an unhealthy inability to trust people. If you think it means they would be likely to cheat on you in a relationship: you are insecure. If you think it means sex is meaningless to them: you are insecure. If you think it means they are only interested in your body: you are insecure. If you think it means anything more than "I wanted to have sex with you" you are projecting everywhere, and it's pathetic.
