My dog could leave me at any time too, she's quite an escape artist, but she doesn't because dogs are now dependent on human's approval for their survival and happiness, unlike cats which can survive quite well without humans.
Seeing you think bestiality is OK, bet you haven't tried it with a not in heat cat: you'd get your bits shredded and it would serve you right
Oh and dogs are pack animals. If they weren't dependant on humans most likely they would be dependant on other dogs (which they are, as I've seen groups or dogs run in packs)

And cats can survive better in civilization without huamns because there are not any laws against cats off leashes. If dogs were allowed off leashes too they would kill all the cats. One of my cats died that way. It was fucking awful.
