I need to be in complete darkness in order to fall asleep.

I knew a girl that was raped when she was younger and she couldn't sleep with the lights off at all. Is there some sort of trauma that you experienced while you were sleeping that doesn't let you sleep with the light on anymore?

    • + Wolflord It's just my preference. That and I can't see well when it's dark and it stems from a old childhood fear of the unknown.

Faulty bedside lamp setting the room on fire?

I don't know why they downvoted you but I found your comment to be hilarious, even if I'm sure there has been a building fire due to an electrical problem somewhere.

Get yourself a cute night light or a small lamp. I also sleep with one of the lights on sometimes cause people forget to close it.

Complete darkness and silence and preferably nice and cold with a big blanket.

  • Bedside lamp or corridor light on. Never in the dark. I feel weird stuff and see shadows moving.

I just need barely enough light to see the corners of the walls and dresser.

It'd look like something out of some sci-fi, but if I had the means to I'd make all the edges of the walls glow a dim cyan, Tron style. Probably not normal but still cool.

I always sleep with all lights off. So the main light off and my bedside light off.
