Do you see the double standard with some nfl players?

Another NFL player involved in a violent crime. Yet, their fellow players kneel in protest of the police trying to catch and stop violent people. Police are people like you and me. When a suspect violently resists arrest and gets hurt all the sudden the police are the bad guys and NFL players are kneeling in protest. I think the NFL players have gone over the line. Anyone else see the problem?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the protests about police shooting innocent (aka non-violent) black people?

Also whether some NFL players are thugs doesn't mean they can't equally protest the police's treatment of black people in general.

one nfl player committing a crime doesn't make it any less noble for nfl players to protest for people who should not have been targeted by police. but of course you may be talking about something different or have different information. just hang in there and try to be happy despite it all.

So a few NFL players are violent and it immediately makes the cause that other NFL players are defending invalid?

    I don't get it.

He was definitely wrong for kicking and shoving that woman. If no one was holding him back who knows what he would have done. That being said, what the fuck does taking a knee to protest police murdering innocent citizens, have to do with that jackass player? The only thing i dont agree with, is that only black men were included in that category. If the media wasnt biased and controlled by the elite, All players would have taken a knee. All Americans are being shot way too quick by police as if our lives arent worth saving.

    Dumb ass.
    Cops are nothing like me.
    Dig your head out.
    The protest is:
All to often if the person is black.
Cops shoot first and ax questions later.
You're either a troll or some faux news watching idiot.
    Statistics don't lie.

I actually watch so little television that I'm unaware of the current scandal of the moment. I prefer police officers to criminals. People who commit domestic violence are dangerous criminals. I don't know anything about this latest story, but think people who resist arrest get what they deserve especially if the person is a violent criminal who is resisting arrest!

I think the NFL head office needs to have stricter guidelines on dealing with players who commit crimes, especially violent ones. The owners/coaches are too incentivized by the value of the player to do the right thing. I also think players have a right to protest. It’s up to their management whether that’s allowed on the job while wearing the “company” uniform. I also have the right to watch something else on tv if I don’t like it.
