Do you prevent psychological nerve damage to the brain?

Do you not listen to vulgar music/watch violent movies? Do you prevent the evil media taking control of your actions?

I think you're confused about what "nerve damage" means. Also, how do you watch music?

      They didn't say "watch music".

They did originally, before it got through moderation, but they fixed it.

I think the conservative media has gotten it into your head that those types of music and movies are bad for your heath.

This is even more prevalent in white America, right?

We are all shaped by exterior impulses. Throughout our life, we're influenced by our family, our friends, television, and so on.

That's not what you call 'nerve damage', though. If you actively ban music from your life, then you're restricting yourself a lot more than needed.

    • It isn't 'nerve damage', it's 'psychological nerve damage to the brain'. Get it right.

  • Ha! "psychological nerve damage" Ya, right. :/

Last night, I watched a violent film (Lawless) last night. I had to look away a few times; like when a guy got his throat cut, someone had hot tar poured over them, and some men got their nuts cut off. I couldn't watch those moments. Even with looking away, I still had a few nightmares about the show during the night.

  • I only read the bible for entertainment. Then I drink my milk and eat my veggies before bed at 7:00pm sharp.

Not on purpose. If something is very heavily vulgar then it is difficult for me to watch. I don't really care for unnecessary vulgarity (like the comedians who constantly curse or insist on making sex joke after sex joke)...

Tasteful vulgarity that adds to the joke or is a part of the story content of a film or book doesn't bother me so much as gore and vulgarity for the sake of gore and vulgarity.

  • yes i do what is seen cannot be unseen, i dont care if its fictional gore but the real stuff i avoid same with animal cruelty
