Black metal for sure. But anything with a lot of melody is my preferred sound. Mole-death, Melodic Black, Melodic Metalcore. In Flames, At the Gates, For Today, and Killswitch will always flood my playlist.
None of those are Black, those are forms of Death. In Flames is technical Death, At The Gates is Melodic Death, Killswitch Engage is "Metalcore" which, technically, doesn't exist since the premise of "Metalcore" is Death and Hardcore mixed but Death has always had a strong Hardcore influence. So I guess Killswitch is more Alt Metal like Avenged Sevenfold or later Metalica. Long story short if you like them you should check out Zao, the first band to be called "Metalcore" and see if you like them.
Do you prefer Death Metal or Black Metal

In Flames is technical death metal? haha. Metalcore is not Death and Hardcore mixed, that's Deathcore.
