My showers turn into baths when the drain gets clogged, usually only about 6 inches of water.
I enjoy baths for relaxation and showers to clean myself.
And to those who think that you sit in filth when you bathe...what are you sitting in before you diluted that filth off your body?
If you think that you're getting significantly less clean because you're in a solution of your own dirt, then I don't think you're thinking about the volume of water involved very realistically (which is understandable, because volume can be really hard to conceptualise — I had to look up the volume of a bath to make sure). Unless you're caked in mud before bathing, any dirt on you would be extremely dilute in a bath. A bath generally uses 30 to 50 gallons (about 110 to 190 litres) of water. That's plenty dilute enough for me.
People don't get sick from taking baths instead of showers. They don't smell bad after taking baths. So what's the problem? It seems like it's just a conceptual thing. And I mean, that's allowed. If the idea bothers you, that's ok. You can have those thoughts inside your own head, and you don't have to take baths. But not everybody CAN take showers, and some people just prefer baths. That's ok too.
Besides, there are mites living in your eyelash follicles. They're totally normal, and they look like this: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m30kojgmjz1qb2d54o1_400.jpg There are a million tiny Lovecraft stories happening in and on your skin every second. So I'm not going to stress about things that don't cause disease, because it's either that or never stop screaming.
Well yeah. And if you plug it up so the water wont go down the drain....
I pick shower. Only because I am usually in a hurry when I take them. Also I am weirdly paranoid and hate silence so bath scare me. Unless I just worked out and am to tired to stand.
That reminds me of that scene in "The Vanilla Tux" (I think that's what it was called.) Basically, These guys somehow get ahold of a pristine white tuxedo and there was this dirty hobo that wanted to wear the tux. They allow him to wear the tux because he was filthy so they put him in the bath. Afterwards, when they drain the water there's a filthy black sludge at the bottom.
I can't remember the rest:/
Showers because I like how it feels; like rain falling on you. Plus I like the sound, it's calming... Like white noise.
I honestly prefer to sit in the bathtub of water with the shower raining down on me at the same time.
What does "perfer" mean?
prefer
verb
1 I prefer white wine to red: like better, would rather (have), would sooner (have), favor, be more partial to; choose, select, pick, opt for, go for.
2 formal do you want to prefer charges? bring, press, file, lodge, lay.
3 archaic he was preferred to the post: promote, upgrade, raise, elevate.
Perfer is like you saying that you'd choose that item over another.Or you like it better than most things.
Definitely showers. On the rare occasion I take a bath, it's usually if I'm too tired to stand up or I need to relax.
Shower, I'm all about efficiency. Plus baths feel claustrophobic. Steam, water, it's uncomfortable, like being buried alive.
I don't get what's so wrong about 'sitting in your own dirt' it's just come off your frickin' body... Unless you're actually really dirty with mud on you or something. Fair enough, you are at in the dirty water in which whatever you've washed off will remain in the water, therefore some of it on you still... But it's no big deal.
