Actually, my cat came from a pet store in Las Vegas, but ideally one would look for a purebred cat from a reputable breeder, and sometimes purebred cats, and dogs turn up at shelters as well. My cat was 9 weeks old when I got him, I don't think he was hard to train, but Siamese cats are known as a dog-like breed of cat. Siamese cats do need a lot of attention, and affectionate. This is not a cat breed for people who are looking for a quiet, reserved pet. My bestfriend can be demanding, but I don't mind. Siamese are quite active when they're young, but they're certainly lap cats all their lives. These cats crave affection, and companionship which is why they are often in pairs!
I know very little on purebred cats. We have 4 whippets, and I know the process of finding reputable breeders, but cat breeders seem like a whole different realm. I used to read cat fancy magazines when I was like 5, and they would always have a section for breeders to advertise (usually is was for bengals) I always wanted one. But now i am content with my “thiccaroni with cheese” gal from the local shelter
So my cat scratches the walls. I get her 2 wall pads and 2 cat condos to place around the house for her enjoyment. Still scratches the walls. So now I think she scratches the walls for attention. But she only scratches at night when I am winding down for bed. I try to cuddle her and play with her, but eventually she gets tired of me and scratches the walls again some times she scratches when she is hungry too.
Sometimes when she scratches, she picks a corner and blankly stares at it, meows, quick swipes, then runs under my bed and claws at the underside of my bed until I go get her
Do you like wearing adult diapers?

I mostly just know I need a gentle, affectionate and easily trained cat.

Hmm, I dunno. Have you ever heard of Jackson Galaxy? Is this cat the only pet in the house?
