There was a really good article about vampires today in the yahoo group WhatLiesBeyond, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WhatLiesBeyond_/
It ended with a very good observation about traditional vampires of the past being much more interesting than the semi-human vampires of today (such as those in that shitty show "The Vampire Diaries") because in the past, vampires stalked something besides the local high school!
