I think they mean "non-refrigerated" soda vs actually "warm" soda.
There are those who think that a can of soda left in a box outside the fridge is "warm".
To me, warm means actually WARM, like left out in the sun.
However if it's just a can of soda that didn't get put in the fridge... that's perfectly fine to me. Hell I don't bother putting it in the fridge to begin with. (except for the 2L bottles)
