Whenever my comments get thumbs ups I feel happy that people agree with what I have to say or think I'm funny or something. I just really enjoy when my comments have weight to them. So, do you enjoy getting thumbs ups on your comments?

I like the thumbs up, I got about 7 once, which made me feel special :)
If I get thumbs down, I don't really mind, I'll still be opinionated even if most people seem not to like my opinions.
I'd rather give a simple thumbs up than post my own comment that is the same as what somebody else has said, so I often give thumbs and don't actually comment at all.
I never understand why some things I say get thumbed up when they're just passing comment and in no way worthy. It makes me think people aren't understanding me at all.
Actually, be honest. Am I difficult to understand? I don't mind if I am. Just means I need to try harder than I already am.
I understand the stuff that you say, but I think that a lot of your posts are too long-winded for most people to bother even reading. They'll see about 5 paragraphs, all with long words, then get scared and move on. I'm guilty of the same sometimes.
That said, it is nice to hear an intellectual comment once in while, which yours usually are, and that is becoming rare. If I am on the site and not the iPhone app, I give thumbs up to a comment I agree with.
Long-winded is fair enough. They never get thumbed up because, like you say, people don't read them. They're for the benefit of the OP, though, rather than a popularity contest.
What I find weird is the shorter ones that get thumbed up. I'll point it out to you next time it happens, because I really have no clue if people are somehow misunderstanding me. Things I say with virtually no merit get thumbed up to double figures. Although I do think there's a sheep mentality here. People thumb things up just because someone else has, and then they want to "fit in".
