  • When I was talking about Death Note being rather normal is that you don't see an abundance of characters with this visual flare that decide to sport gaudy fashions and hair every color of the rainbow. Tekken didn't make a good movie.

Misa still acted like Misa and saying blond hair is such a necessity is saying like a stereotype is really so relevant. The chick playing Misa still acted like a ditz and people don't have to be blond to be dumb. The L movie could have been so much better especially after I read the book which was so much more entertaining than the actual film. Plus Near in the film was just fan service and a rather weak attempt at that. I thought that kid had some serious problems because he spoke only a couple of words which he's decide to repeat over and over again which was like, wtf? Is he retarded?

The dubbing for the movie was just done but an American remake is coming and Shane Black has been confirmed for director. Death Note works quite well and you just have to change the setting, put it in New York or something.

Hollywood is picked up quite a few anime to adapt. Akira, Bleach (no idea why), Ninja Scroll, Ghost In The Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Battle Angel, KITE along with a few more. Quite a few of these can translate well to screen even more so with a western approach. Like Fullmetal Alchemist sounds like a decent choice that the west can probably pull off more so than Japan. Japan freaking butchered the GANTZ movie which pissed me off personally because I love GANTZ.

    • Tekken has made a few great movies so I have no idea what you are talking about. I love all of tekkens movies but they made a few. Which one did you not like? I love the games and the tekken storyline. I also really wanted to see Near with white hair but they never did.

      • I thought we were talking about live action adaptions which the Tekken live action movie was awful.

White isn't really a natural hair color and was that kid really Near? If they didn't add the subtle nods to the character with the robot or at the end when L named him he would be Near in no way shape or form. Besides, Near isn't as interesting to begin with. It really was just a way to drag on the series and Near and Mello both had quirks that would resemble L in more ways than one also ultimately all they did was catch Light. L pretty much solved the case and everything they did worked from a cheat sheet. The live action films had a much more satisfying ending and I liked the idea of Light's dad finding out his son was Kira.

        • You mean the one with Jin? I liked the one with Jins back story. They also made a few of them and one was the anime movies. One was the SG which I wanted to watch and they have 2 live action I believe. They also made one for street fighter which fit pretty well with the style of the game. Yes neither is a book that kills people so you are saying we should get rid of the note book as well. Which defeats the point of making the movie at all. It is a movie you want it to be real? We can not add a murdering note book in that case. Unless you are saying you own a murdering note book and you have evidence it works.

          • Minus the Tekken part what the hell are you talking about? Death Note wouldn't be Death Note if you got rid of the key item that makes up the entire premise. When did I ever say I didn't want the Death Note in an adaption of Death Note?

            • Well you said that it is impossible for them to add colored hair since it is "Not real enough" and a killer note book is not either. So going off that logic this should not be a movie at all. Blonde is a natural hair colour by the way. So they still could have made the blond characters blonde. Yet they did not.

              • I was talking about how the character designs for Death Note are rather normal and don't have too much of this anime flare. Overall when it's just Misa that is missing her hair color then it's not a make it or break it factor because that is trivial. They still play the part geez.
