I'm starting to find it irritating. I hate when people say "Merry Christmas" without stopping to consider that some people don't celebrate Christmas. I hate how the media only seems to care about Christmas and you never see specials on Hanukah, Kwanza, or any other religions. I hate having to sign cards to people I don't know or to relatives I don't care about. I hate how during past christmases I had to get up early and open presents with relatives I'm not fond of and having to eat a holiday meal with them. Which is why this year I'm glad we are taking a different approach. Instead of giving gifts we will give money that way we can get exactly what we want without be disappointed and I'm not going to each christmas lunch or dinner with them.
I do like the fact that there are sales, but often times stores haven't properly restocked their shelves and I do like the fact that we get a week and some days off.
Also, like you said in your poll, Christmas was originally a pegan holiday and I hate how christians ignore that part of history and act like they invented it. I saw somewhere that Jesus apparently wasn't born in the winter and that he was born in the warmer months.
