Many people do this now. If you intend to do this, I’d recommend you search for instructions online, where you can find advice from medical professionals, specifically dermatologists. Use a new razor splashed with rubbing alcohol before proceeding and apply an OTC antibiotic ointment to any cuts or nicks.
I said on the razor, not on the skin. It will dry in a few seconds and insure the blades are disinfected. A lot of bad microscopic bacterium grows in the shower, and people tend to store razors there. Happy shaving.
Do you help your partner in shaving genitals?

Rubbing alcohol on genitals?.... No. Clean razor, shaving cream and proper technique. And no I never cut my partner.
