I was disappointed in them growing up because we were poor and constantly moving from place to place. I used to think that if they would have finished school, I would have had nicer things and the bullies would have left me alone. When I got older, I realized that they were doing the best that they could under their circumstances.
I'm disappointed in them now because my father has grown bitter over the things he's done in the past and his racism has been over the top lately. He used to be so kind and understanding. My mother refuses to see my step-sister for some really stupid reasons. She gets bitter and angry when I go visit her or even mention her. Her racism has gotten over the top as well.
