Considering that you have to ask, you're probably attempting to validate your bad qualities thus justifying your idea of how great you are as a person so... Yes. A bit. I don't think you're an actual sufferer of NPD but probably a couple of normal narcissistic tendencies. That we all have. All of us.
What always gets me is the intelligence thing, because it is so subjective. I have met people who were far less educated than myself (note the differentiation) and would tell me the exact same line that you did and I'll be thinking "I don't want to meet these people". You really can't judge so harshly.
