Do you hate the police?

I don't enjoy dealing with the police but I certainly don't hate them all.

They are the victim of the system...they are not allowed to think...they just pull the trigger, don't make decisions (which are done by the politicians)...even though, I agree 100% with the fact that they would find abuse of power much easier than rectifying the system which they are not permitted to by the Law

This cannot be anwsered with yes/no. Police are just people like you and me. It would depend on the police officer.

I dont buy this idea that cops control crime..in some ways they worsen it...first of all policing and corrections and the legal system is huge amounts of money that could be spent elsewhere...like education, job training, mental health, etc...they also reinforce this idea that external force is necessary for social control and divert our socity from developing good internal personal control like conscience...also many cops tend to be controlling and hurtful people..which just perpetuates more pain and suffering which creates more fucked up people that commit more hurt and pain amd on and on...

I dislike a lot of them, fear most of them and if I was one of them I would hate myself. (Just kidding, I would be corrupt and very happy with myself.)

The police for the most part are just doing their job, it's half the laws that suck donkey dick. Although about half a year ago a police officer was being a tool to this guy outside a pub while I was having a cigaro and he basically tried to arrest the guy for nothing so the guy kicked the shit out of him which was quite funny.

Cops are just the grunts of the system; control freaks who ruin lives.

I guess it depends on where in the world we are but in Sweden i feel as if the ONLY ones that hates the cops are the criminals and ...yeah >>

I have only been "harassed" by the cops ONCE in my life, I was alone with 5-6 guys and under age while drinking beer= I obviously had it coming since we were in a park.

No I do not see why anyone would hate cops. Unless you want this world to go into madness. Who stops the thieves, rapist, paedophiles, murderers. Unless you enjoy this or are someone who does this I do not see why you would. I would rather not have to deal with any of these though paedophiles at this point are not something I must worry about since I am not a child and have none. I do not think this is ok though.

Often I resent the police and the power games they play. If society is running well then the police will be in the background to make sure outliers and unlikely incidences do not cause causalities. Beefing up law enforcement to stop crime does not address the cause of the issue and has spotty success, in addition to encroaching on people's freedoms.

I'm glad they exist, but it's an institution with a lot of corruption. The police around here are good but on a national scale there's loads of cases of police corruption, police selling personal information to the press, cover-ups etc.
