Sorry Aleks85 but brazilians are mixed african and caucasians (with native indian blood in many cases) so they are mulatos too. The word exists in portuguese and means "mixed".
are you trying to tell me Brazilians are typically black? Such is not true. Occasionally there are black Brazilians but it's not often the case. Lets not mince words here.
You know darn well what an Black/African is, as does everybody else. They have distinct color facial features, and hair. I'm not talking about a mix who happens to have a small % of black blood.
No. I am trying to tell you that most are mixed race - african origin (ex-slaves)mixed with portuguese (settlers) hence mulatos. Some people here are black and have never mixed - Bahia and Tocantins state, many are white and have never mixed - southern states, a few are native indians and have never mixed but the vast majority are white, mixed with black, mixed with indian in every possible ratio. Sorry mate, but I don't mean to be rude but I have lived here for over ten years and have travelled all over this country, so I ought to know what I'm talking about when I classify the brazilians' racial heritage.
Not at all on both counts. You have lots of different mixes of races there, too - probably more than we have here in terms of variety. We also have the added benefit that there is very little racism here due to the fact that everybody is a bit of a mix (black/white/native).
Actually we don't. People tend to stay with their own races here. Look up the population census statistics by race if you don't believe me.
The blacks don't like the whites, The latinos don't like the blacks, and the whites are PC fed morons who don't really like to admit it, but they also stay with their own race, some because of dislike, some because of fear.
Of course, everybody (when we're forced to encounter each other) usually plays it cool. But private and publicly are two distinctly different things.
I agree that there is a lot of self enforced segregation but when you look at the people as a whole, there are many blacks that aren't 100% black, many whites that aren't 100% white and many asians that aren't 100% asian. This is something that has happened historically in the US, whether it happens to the same extent now, I wouldn't know.
The census is really irrelevant in this argument as it depends greatly on how people classify themselves. If your dad is white and your mom is asian, what race are you? WHich box do you tick? Here the census is done on skin color and not race because many don't have a clue about their ancestry.
Do you hate interracial dating?

Sucks for you, where I come from there is white, negro, mulatto and hispanic/latino. It's pretty straight forward.
