Do you get the feeling biden isnt in charge?

I find myself constantly searching for "what does nancy pelosi think of.. " because I get the feeling Biden is not really in charge of the Democratic party. You might as well just see what the real leader of the party Nancy Pelosi thinks. Biden tries to run out everytime reporters are about to ask him questions because he cant even remember his parties position on things. This is because he is not the head of the party.

I think Biden is a very experienced person in government and still has his wits and is running the govt.

    • He often contradicts his own policies. An example in his press conferences he was asked about his policies on guns and he seemed to bumble around with his words and gave his "plan" on guns then said "ya know what just go on my website and its on there" then you went on his website and it contradicts everything he just said he was planning on doing with guns at his press conference. He also did the same thing on energy policies and china. He says one thing in person and then his website and his press secretary says another thing this leads me to believe he did not write these policies on his website. If you wanna hear a good source tell you what the party is doing you have to look at nancy pelosi interviews or the white house press secretary. If you ask Biden himself he just says "idk ill get back to you". He is the face of the party but he is not really the one behind the scenes coming up with these policies. He signs them into law but he obviously does not run the Democrat party.

He was a very experienced person. Age takes a toll on your mental faculties. We need a president that isnt above the age of 50.

I agree. We need younger blood for sure. The maximum age should be 70 although Trump would be exceptional.

Sleepy Joe relies on collaboration. He has Harris (she is still young enough for the job) and his cabinet secretaries doing all the work. When Speaker Pelosi stops into the White House for coffee, he tells her he won't sign anything unless Harris agrees to it.

In other words, now that Trump is gone, we are back to business as usual. As is the case with congresses and parliaments, nobody is really happy but they accept the mediocrity because it gives them 40% of what they want.

The government is a complex assortment of people with competing agenda's.

No one ever runs it all.

My opinion is that President Biden is doing a reasonable job of it - and influencing which direction it is going.

That's about all a President can actually do.

It is very rare that there is a national or international issue where most everyone pulls together and supports one policy.

When it comes to covid. It seems biden wants states to do one thing and not even his own blue states want to do the policies that he wants. Unlike trump that left states to do whatever they wanted.

Biden within 4 months: made the border crisis worse, made us energy dependent meaning now we have to fight more in the middle east, speaking of we are now throwing stones in syria and iran as well as blaming russia for every problem under the sun, when we should be concerned about China as they are rising in power.

Israel and hamas now seeing that biden wont do anything besides raise concerns makes conflict even worse when he donates to palistine and gaza which within the month then shot missiles into israel.

Just the other day (May 12) he told reporters " I’m not supposed to be answering all these questions. I’m supposed to leave, but I can’t resist your questions.”

Last month he cut a press conference short by saying that answering any more questions would get him in trouble.

    • Yeah he's a puppet for the party. Not saying thats always a bad thing but he's definitely not the one doing the work behind the scenes. Thats blatantly obvious.

His son was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company while he was vice president. His son has no business experience and was kicked out of the military for drugs. His son was paid over 100k a month and never even stepped foot in the Ukraine. A Ukrainian prosecutor started investigating the relationship and Biden publically said "if you dont fire that prosecutor you're not getting the billion dollars in aid". They fired the prosecutor.

Years later Trump told the Ukraines to look into this relationship and then Trump was impeached the democrats said "Trump held up money to get them to do what he want" which is exactly what Biden did and said publically. If you work on your Trump cognitive dissonance I think you'd be alarmed by some of these connections these politicians have with foreign governments.

No president in any country is in charge. They are just puppets for those who worked for election to make them win. Except dictators.

I don't think I agree with this. He's been bucking members of his own party that want to keep the military in Afghanistan. Honestly, I've been making a mental note of all the weasels that are railing against him for that. I like to know who they work for. If you can't fix that shithole in twenty years, we never will. Whomever is in charge, it's time to leave.

Thats the one thing I do give him props for doing. He held off on taking troops out it looked like he was gonna leave them there but then he finally called to withdraw them.
