Holding a grudge and being vengeful are different things.

I'm not vengeful cause I don't like to hurt others, but I am a grudge holder.

For example, this bitch at work lied to our boss about her truck not being there, cause she wanted a better one. She knew he was too lazy to go outside in the heat to check the trucks, so he calls me over and ask if I could give up my truck and check outside for any other availabilities. I did as told, check and see her piece of shit outside and told the boss, but the bitch already left with my truck. I glare at her so hard when I see her, my face be stank as fuck.

I'm a fairly forgiving person, but find it very difficult, in some cases impossible, to forgive people who kick me when I'm already down, also people who believe lies about me without checking with me first.

Right now I'm grieving the very recent unexpected death of a much loved but very damaged family member who spread lies about me to other relatives and was believed: it feels almost unbelievably hideous that she died after cutting off all contact and there's now no hope of any resolution with her. To make it even worse, nobody told me about her death and I didn't even know she was ill: my daughter found out by chance and told me about it, a day after the death.

I don't feel any need to forgive the man who raped me, but on the other hand I've forgiven people I really love for shit treatment, in some cases deciding I need to love them from a distance for a while to avoid more bullshit and pain.

I can't hate for long. It's not my nature.

I forgive when it's something done to me, but can get violent if a loved one is hurt.

Iโ€™m more of a grudge holder but Iโ€™m not vengeful. It also depends on the situation, like if its a small thing, Id just forgive and forget. If they dont feel bad of what they did at all and kept doing it over and over again, Id hold a grudge. If they hurt someone I care about, Id get revenge๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ”ช

A life well lived is the best revenge. A life lived with McDonald's fries and a shake is even better. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜œ

Depends on the severity of the situation, the person, etc... But I tend to be more on the vengeful side.

Holding a grudge is like drinking poison hoping the other person dies. In other words it hurts you more than it hurts them.

Are you sure that's a quote from Nietzsche? Doesn't sound like him at all!

I am forgiving over certain things, but for the most part I hold grudges. I am not vengeful though. I dont want to hurt anyone, I just cut them off.

It depends on what it is and who did it. If it's someone I care about and what they did isn't fixable I'm more likely to hold a grudge and just cut them out of my life.

Forgive and exact vengeance through minor annoying acts like sending lots of magazines or flattening tires spread out over a long period of time. THere is no law against this.
