Do you feel rich or poor?

I am NOT talking social stratification and actual earnings.

I'm asking you HOW YOU FEEL IN LIFE, despite whatever economic status you might have. If you feel the need to share that part of it please do so in the comments.

With my present income I am doing relatively well considering the country I'm living in but with the same income in a developed country I wouldn't be able to even rent housing.

Wow, it looks an awesome place to go on holiday. My friend's family are from Mauritius.

It's some 600km from Mauritius. You take a 1h30 plane from mauritius and you land here. We have the second or third largest lagoon in the world. If you like the sea, if you like to kitesurf, then it's the place to be. It's very quiet. There's no big mall where you can do shopping or big night clubs. Youll feel safe.

If you plan a visit someday just let me know. I'll show you around.

I am a 2%er. But I am most comfortable living considerably below my means. Consider international travel for example. You can go anywhere in the world for luxury travel. The problem is that it's the same boring experience wherever you go. Better to put your camping gear on the plane, or stay in cheap motels. Same with restaurants, same with cars, same with houses. Fly under the radar to be in the real world. Your life experience will be much richer.

I am rich in all aspects of life. Whatever I decide to manifest will come into reality.

I say "new money" because -
Even though my financial status is more "working poor" BUT -
More and more, life is JUST ABOUT where I would like it to be. Most of my adult life things sucked, however, for about the past 10 years things have improved progressively.

I do not have a nagging-ass spouse to deal with.
Nor do I have any rotten little brats around.
I can go to work and do my job with few distractions or pesky-ass co-workers or customers bugging me.
I can live the way I want without being told it is embarrassing or disgusting.
My car and house are not much but they both function.

The biggest thing - I do not have to listen to anyone's drama or bullshit. CAN you put a dollar sign on that?

I feel poor, but I'm blessed to have a roof over my head, food to eat and a loyal feline to call my friend!

    • Oh, now you reveal being poor, after you talked trash about me being inefficient while you have 3 jobs and you work so much better than me. Perfect.

This is what you focus on?

Perhaps you wouldn't be so inefficient if you utilized some resources the world can offer you, as there is plenty of help for learning disabilities like yours. Perhaps then you would know I have discussed this many times on Is it normal...

Make a decent amount of money, have a decent amount of money saved. But I feel poor af. But I’m a pretty negative thinker a lot of times

So you've made your money, or ARE making it. Good.
If you are feeling "poor" more often than not, maybe look at your life not in terms "what do I want to gain?" but "what do I need to get rid of?"

That is how I got "rich" for the most part - I was able to rid the things impeding my happiness. Yeah sometimes i still feel like i got shit on in life but then I see someone who struggles harder and then i feel lucky again.

Unfortunately, how one feels can be greatly effected by their income. If one struggles to pay rent/ mortgage, other luxuries (like travel or experiences) suffer. Yes, less is more, but sometimes it takes more to get less.

I feel like im typecast as the 1% white girl.

Rich. I recommend bob proctor and Napoleon Hill, they help me understand how your mindset helps you in life.

Well I'm still living with my parents so I feel rich since I'm saving more money than I would living on my own and I can afford everything I want. But when I think about the future and the idea of living on my own, I feel like I'm on the poverty line.

Save everything you can now. That’s the biggest regret I have is not keeping every penny I made when I lived with my parents. It’s seriously the easiest way to gain a decent savings and it will help when something goes wrong or you have to spend a lot once you move out.

  • Incorrect question. You can't feel poor or rich. You can feel satisfied or not with your wealth.

I wear old boxers that have huge tears in the crotch area. One of them is just the elastic band with a few pieces of cloth dangling from it. This and many other things in my life make me 'feel' poor even though I could do something about it if I had the inclination.

    Working class.
I see plenty who are so much better off.
But, I also see folks bustin it harder then me for B.S. slave wages.
    So, I consider myself ok.
    I have a roof.
    Clothes.
    Food.
Everything else, is just an added blessing.
I sleep well at night, I haven't stepped on anyone to climb some imagined ladder.

I feel like I had a social status in a past life. That same status will catch up at some point. I'm a sun. I feel upper class / I've done my home work.
