Do you ever wonder what goes on in houses when they are left alone?

Ever wonder what houses do when they are empty/what goes on in a house when it is left alone? I have a hard time feeling that nothing goes on in a house when it's alone and empty. I picture appliances randomly turning on...doors opening and closing, footsteps of unseen inhabitants, lights turning on/off etc...And, I expect to somehow be greeted by my dwelling when I've been away for a while, upon my return (but I've never actually been greeted in any way by any place that i've ever lived in)...It is not so much a haunting I am talking about, but more a feeling that a house is a living thing in and of itself.

I don't actually BELIEVE anything happens in an empty house, but I FEEL like something happens, if that makes sense...This feeling I have doesn't apply to new houses which have never been occupied before. When new houses are empty, I feel that nothing probably ever happens in them...

Is It Normal?

  • Hey this is ur house! I just wanna let u know that when everybody leaves their house all of us get together and have mad, hardcore house sex. Boards bend, walls crack, the floors creek, and at the climax the guy houses spew hot wet paint all over the place. The action is much hotter between 2 brick houses and dnt get me started about tin roof....oohhhhh those tin roofs...I'm sry...just gettin a little...a little hot in here...uhhh gotta go...bye

  • It's normal. I used to think my toys interacted when I closed the door on them. Never caught them in the act though. There's a "short film" with a similar plot.

  • I also feel this way,
I hate when people see these things as "ridiculous", and "impossible" we cant even fully comprehend how our own brain works why would you assume that spirits, ghosts and wandering souls dont exist.
Theres a quantum theory created by some of our smartest scientists that is called "the observer effect" things. Atoms, molecules act differently when observed then when they are not. If people were more literate they would understand our surroundings much better. If this interests you google "the observer effect" youll be amazed.

  • I just think that it means you are very creative and also have a strong sense of empathy. I know exactly what you mean. Houses have personalities! It IS weird to think of them doing nothing. It's like you want to believe maybe they're having some kind of forbidden house fun when you're out. Lol.
