I'm no vegetarian. Life is just a quirk of matter. Nature's way of keeping meet fresh. Are you my mummy? (Please, someone get the reference).
I hate seafood for the taste and smell. No matter what kind, no matter how it's prepared, it seems that all seafood shares a certain characteristic that I find massively unpleasant.
Anyway, I don't know if it's true, but I've read that the nervous system of most (if not all) seafood is so primitive that they can't feel pain. They barely have memory. They can't think. They can't feel. They are very much just nature's way of keeping meat fresh. If a vegetarian is in it due to the fact that the slaughtering of animals causes them pain and horror, I can see how seafood could be an exception. They really are just organic machines, incapable of feeling. There's no more horror in killing them than there is in smashing down a building full of LEGOs.
