I don't get $36 an hour, I get 60c for every minute I'm on a call - no payment for waiting time or idiots who hangup without speaking. AU$30-35 an hour in Australia is about what a cleaner gets on casual rates, $17 approx flat rates if working full time. I get no holiday pay, sick leave, long service leave or penalty rates for night or weekend work: if I don't work or I don't get calls I get no money.
Advantages are that I only work when I feel like it, which fits in with my unpredictably fluctuating state of health and I do it from home.
