Do you care about the small differences in spelling? (UK vs. US)

I find it annoying when someone tries to correct me. I spell colour my way you spell it your way. I don't care how people spell whether US or UK but I don't like when either try to correct the way I say it because I'm from Canada so I a split I spell some things the US way and some the UK way.
