  • Western culture has taken sexuality and used it to sell everything from cars to soap. We idolize people simply for being sexy and exhibit our bodies in ways that would have shocked previous generations.

It is my personal philosophy that humans were not designed to encounter such idealized and perfected forms of human bodies and sexuality with such frequency. And, as a result, adjusting to this new type of lifestyle and ideal with have created, our children find the need to explore different modes of sexuality.

I'm not saying that this is a good thing at all. In fact, I think how much we focus on sex is rather absurd. Porn is a huge industry. Imagine all the time wasted on that alone.

It's sad, but inevitable I think.

I think bisexuality is one result of a person's need to explore alternate modes of sexuality since we are immersed in sexuality by our media.

    • I don't agree- I'm bisexual myself(I'm a girl) and its not purely based on sex; I really like my girlfriend at the moment and have genuine strong feelings for her, and I've had the same about boys in the past so its not because of 'oversexualising', I'm sure there were plenty of gay and bisexual people in victorian times, they just covered it up as it was socially unnacceptable in those times
