Do you believe police officers should chase suspects?

So there was a case near where I live in which the officer began to pursue a vehicle after a traffic stop, but he didn’t use his sirens even though he went through stop signs. This caused an accident which killed an elderly lady. In this case I think the cop obviously was at fault.

But do you think cops should always be permitted to chase suspects, especially if it’s only for something as little as a traffic violation? I don’t. I believe too many innocent lives are taken. But I wouldn’t be against them chasing a violent criminal.

    What a dumb question you thick fuck. In this case he should have had his blue lights and sirens on. But generally yes of course they should chase criminals that's the whole point of their job. They wouldn't catch many criminals if they stand there calling after them to come back.

    Maybe the person he pulled over for a minor traffic violation was wanted for more serious crime. That could be why they fled. You never know.

    remember a couplea months ago when they violently arrested a nurse for refusin a to do blood draw on a patient cause it violated hipaa?

    the patient was hit by a speedin cop and they was tryinta git any evidence they could to charge the guy and shift the blame

    Yes and if it's a dangerous situation or a high crime like murder or a grand theft then call for backup.

    In Brazil once you are told you are under arrest and run .I hope you can run faster than a bullet.
    Its considered the same as escaping from prison.
