I thoroughly enjoy making the connections between cause and effect BUT I also realized that cause and effect are only possible because we are able to concieve those things. Does a deer feel cause and effect when it decides to cross the raod right in front of me? No. But do I feel the cause and effect of the situation? Yes. I think "what if I had left 5 mins earlier?...or what if I had taken the back route?" etc....
If alternate routes are taken, a whole new set of cause and effect would take place.
I've concluded although it's extremely interesting and amazing, we are just aware of it because we have the mental capacity to be aware of it. That does not make us special. In fact it slows us down in a way. We think we are vital to this world when in fact we are the least vital being on this planet. our minds are as much a blessing as a curse.
Do you believe in fate?
