Do you believe in “stealing friends”? or is that not how friendship works?

Like some girl at work called me a “Friend Stealer” or something? Cause I guess her friend hangs out with me more than her?? Is that normal? I don’t see how you “steal friends” from someone? I’d say the person probably wasn’t your friend in the first place if you think people are taking your friends?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

That happened to me as an adult. I introduced my two besties and then they started going out together and not even inviting me. It broke my heart.

I have seen situations usually in high school where you would introduce two of your friends to each other. Then one of those friends would turn the other friend against you and you didnt know what you did. Theyd hang out all the time and basically both would cold shoulder you and it would be obvious that one of them turned the other against you. Only stupid people do that kind of shit but it does happen.

I'm not sure that friend stealing is really a thing, it mostly just sounds to me like this person is jealous, and hurt.

People can have the same friends, but what is important is to be unique and have other friends at the same process. In my opinion friend stealing is quite petty especially one's accusing you in it's own sense.
