Do you believe covid19 is airbourne?

I've heard they've now come to the conclusion that this virus is airbourne and can even spread through vents and you can get sick from walking down the stairs in your apartment building if someone with the virus walked there earlier. This would mean we're all screwed even if we quarantine because if you live in an apartment like me it's enough if a neighbour gets sick it can come to your apartment from the vent or if you take out trash or go for a walk and there's viruses hanging in the air when you walk down the stairs or take the elevator. This would also mean it's useless to go to the store when there's little to no people in there if asymptomatic people was in there earlier especially here in my country where almost no one wears masks.
So basically it would mean there is no way to avoid getting sick except possibly moving to a deserted island. Does that mean this is the end?
Or are they making this new discovery up so everyone takes things more seriously since so many people are anti-vaccination?

    • It doesnt work if you're the only who who wears it

      • Of course it does, because it will prevent you from being exposed to other people's airborne bacteria.

      • Masks don't just stop your breath from getting out. It also stops other people's breath from getting in. It absolutely works if you're the only one wearing it.

        • Only protects the wearer if it is an N95 mask. For all other over the ear masks, very limited protection to the wearer. Most of us mask wearers are wearing it to protect others we are around.

        • From what they've said at least here, I dont know what they say in america and other countries, it stops your breath from coming out and thats it

          • That's dumb and makes no sense. Why do you think people with allergies wear them? Or people in countries with high air pollution, like China? or people working in areas with a lot of dust and mold? It keeps particles and stuff out.

    • Yes before they said you cought it from droplets if someone breaths, coughs or sneezes near you hence the rule to stand a certain distance away from other people in public areas.

      • It’s been well known for a long time now that it stays airborne.... where are you getting your info?

        Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Yes. You should never leave your home again.

  • Well yeah.

  • ??? wasnt it always airborne wtf

    • No they said it was spread via droplets. That isnt airbourne. Those are 2 different ways a virus spreads.

      • I believe you misunderstand. The droplets they are talking about are microscopic in size and airborn. When you breath - you exhale lots of microscopic droplets. When you cough or sneeze the qauantity jumps into the many millions of droplets.

The droplets are airborn - and often spread up to 30 or more feet from you in still air. Moving air may spread them farther.

The nominal 6 ft rule is from the concept that it usually takes a certain concentration of droplets in the air to infect someone else (the bodies natural immune system usually fights off lessor amounts of "bad" bugs.

The level of droplets beyond 6 ft from a properly masked person (with an effective mask) is low enough that most people will not become sick.

      • Yeah, airborne droplets!

        • All droplets are airbourne. There's a difference between droplet-contagion and airbourne-contagion, airbourne being far more dangerous as keeping distance wouldnt be enough.

  • Just take precautions until you get the vaccine.

  • Speaking of 9-11. The daily death rate of Covid right now is roughly the same as were killed on 9-1l. That is one 9-11 EVERY DAY dead. There are more than a third of a million dead in the US with about 3000 more every day. The county I live in has almost 3000 dead since it started. So, slightly draconian measures like they used in China dont seem too extreme.

  • Only real solution to covid crisis is vaccine or natural spread.

  • If it was that easy to get it and it was as deadly as they make it out to be we'd all be dead by now.

They're ramping up panic so they can use this manufactured crisis to take rights away from people in preparation for a global fascist police state.

They sold us this with pictures of people dropping dead on the streets in china, they had a funeral pyre of all the dead people so huge you could see it from space in a few months. That hasn't happened anywhere. It was all a lie. Covid is literally a mild form of SARS. No one in any age group who wasn't going to die anyway is at risk. The odds of dying from covid are exactly the same as the odds of dying within a year at any age.

    Stop watching the news.

    • During this pandemic, I did get a persistent form of flu.. running nose, sore throat and all that, but no breathing problems as is reported of COVID-19 patients. It went on for a full month, and that has never happened to me before. I'm doing fine now though, without any medical care availed to me.

      • People are getting sick, but the risk of anthing more than "getting sick" is pretty minor. There's always a risk of getting sick, I don't want to get sick, but there's a lot more going on here than "protecting people from getting sick."

Some lady screamed at me to wear a mask when I was riding a bike by myself on the opposite side of the street yesterday. People are in a complete unwarranted panic state and not thinking logically. I don't want to get covid, but the whole state of the world right now is way scarier than covid is.

    • Many people die actually. Plus the thing is thats almost worse in a way is that many, including in my family, get longterm sick. There are people who had covid19 in March last year and still have breathing problems on and off and other issues, cant work or work very little compared to before and that is way more common it seems than getting so ill you die though many end up in hospitals also. In one region of my country it's currently so bad that in the hospitals they are going to have to start deciding whom to treat and whom to just let die, basically. There's no room. That's reality so it's pretty dumb to think it's just a "normal flu" because even if far from all those people die they still got so sick they would've without hospital care. That's no flu. And flus don't give potentially lifelong illness either, that's extremely rare if so and would happen from some kind of a complication that you left untreated.
I feel bad for everyone who works in healthcare they deserve a raise especially since they're also risking their own health.

      • "lifelong illness" from this is rare, anyone I know who got it got a mild cold and is fine, including people in their 80s. It's a risk for people with severe health problems, but I'm not trying to say covid is nothing or it doesn't exist.

Regardless of what you think about the legitimacy of 9/11, you have to admit it led to the creation of a surveilance state that we continue to enjoy to this day. That's whats happening here. They're using the widespread panic to push through other totalitarian agendas. People wouldn't have agreed to wide spread surveilance of everyone before, but once you get them scared of the TERRORISTS we're at WAR with, oh sure totally collect all my data and censor the internet.

They're using covid as an excuse to bring us closer to complete NWO fascist world government. Lockdowns aren't really useful against covid and don't seem to make sense half the time. Until you realize killing independent buisiness in favor of large corporations is the point and then it makes perfect sense why there's a curfew on bars and bowling alleys while Wal Mart can stay open 24/7 with no mandates or regulations.

I'm curious where you are where hospitals are so overwhelmed. Oh wait, they normally are full this time of year. You normally have to wait for a bed during flu season. The lie they sold us is that this is being done to protect sick elderly people. Normally sick elderly people get denied life saving medical care though. It's not right, but pre-covid a 99 year old with emphysema doesn't really get much in the way of medical care when they come into the hospital with pneumonia. They don't give them a ventillator, they send them right into hospice.
