I checked 'yes'. I think I believe in evolution. I belong to a church that definitely doesn't, but I do not see eye-to-eye with them on very much at all. Like the thing about Jesus dying on the cross to save mankind from something called "sin" just makes no sense to me at all.
I'm not even sure there ever was any such person as Jesus anyhow. Oahspe says he was made up at the Council of Nice from the lives of several different people. (And Kriste was a false god in the lower heavens that started a false religion called Kriste'yanity, later changed to Christianity.) Oahspe also says that evolution is false, but I don't believe that part; I think it is true.
Now the Urantia Book says evolution IS true, but has a bunch of stuff about Jesus being a reincarnated space person, named Michael of Nebadon, but at least it denies that he came to earth to die as a sacrifice to save man from "sin". There is so much junk out there, that one hardly knows what to believe.
But I do know that the Bible contains many, many contradictions. If you don't believe this, go to google and type in Bible contradictions, and just see what comes up. It contains many mistakes and errors as well, and some statements that are just absurd, and much that is obscene, and a LOT of attrocities some of which are just sooooo disgusting!
I have read some of Darwin's book On the Origin of Species. Of course, today many new theories have replaced a lot of his original thinking. Just the basic theory still remains in acceptance. He was not the first person to suggest a theory of evolution, tho he is sometimes credited as such. The idea goes back at least to the ancient Greeks. I know Lucretius wrote of it thousands of years ago, and I believe so did Aristotle. The book "THE NAKED APE" by Desmond Morris shows that human behavior is very, very simular to that of the apes. I read this book a couple of times. It makes a lot of sense to me.
