no we broke genetically from monkeys. if a a gorilla and a chimpanzee are both monkeys then why isn't there only one type of monkey if monkeys evolved from each other. you are saying when evolution happens every animals in that population all has the same genetic change all at the same time to become new species. why is there more than one type of squirrel wouldn't they just keep changing into that type of squirrel and other squirrel dieing out. no not at all same concept!!!and evolution is not only to do with humans and monkeys but with all animals!!
