  • i dont know anything about this corn syrup fructose stuff.
    i eat a lot of fruit, full fructose i would have thought, is this bad too? oh no

    • Well, it is really a matter of over-consuming fructose-containing foods. You might eat a lot of fruit, but probably not enough to be harmful.

      Apples are relatively high in fructose, so let us compare apples with the popular soft drink "Coca-Cola":

      One 12 ounce can of Coca-Cola would have about 22 grams of fructose. An equivalent amount of apples, or 340 grams (approx. 3 apples), has about 20.6 grams of fructose--more filling and still less fructose!

      While overindulgence of fruit can be unhealthy, you would probably dislike eating them before they would cause noticeable health problems. Though, the same cannot be said for beverages that contain HFCS.
