Do the russians really hate us gay and trans folk?

So I recently got told the Russians passed an anti gay law and that appearintky they eould beat me up if they found out I was trans. Is any of this legit? Like what the fudge

              It is but so is freedom of expression and belief. I fully support that as long as one is not causing harm to another. It's like the Mormons that come up to your door they are annoying yes but they are just trying to spread there beliefs
