Do strangers approach you?

wow people are so rude here. It's just people trying to be friendly with you. So someone says hi to you they are just being friendly.

I was in a supermarket and this older woman came up to me and said, "do these grapes look okay to you" as she held them in my face.

I just nodded but then she picked one off and asked me to try one. I then proceeded to run as fast as I could in the opposite direction.

Only in like lines and places where people have to stand around for various reasons.

this sounds sorta conceited but older men( mainly black men) come up to and decide tht hey want to talk to me. the other day in the grocerie store as i was walking out a very tall ans muscilar black man saw my reflection in the sliding doors as i was exiting( he was in front of me) and immediatly spun around and asked me if i needed help with my bags. i politely turned him down and then he proceeded to ask for my name and number. i told him i was taken and he seemed pretty bummed lol

I live in California. People here are very open. I get chatted up by strangers of both genders almost frequently. (mostly guys)
I guess it is how friendly it is you appear to people that is the factor.
People that are over middle age tend to wanna talk to people whom are young and under their 30s, people who can look up to them for their age.

I do not see many people taking the effort to make someone else happy by conversioning, it's a talent we are losing.

Weird people come up to me sometimes like they know me and start going on with shit i hate it... it's like they think i must be 'one of them'

Charisma. I get it all the time. Sometimes I have to try to tone it down on certain days, it's still challenging.

I get asked for change for the bus a lot. They come up with a story about it too. They're all clearly drug addicts because they all have slurred speech. I don't live in a great town lol.

Yea, but mostly ppl of a certain religion tht come up 2 me whn they see my clothes (pleated skirt, Corset, arm warmers, & knee high black boots. I'm goth.) or whn they see my Religious jewelry. They always tell me Ima burn b/c I dnt believe n their religion. I tell them tht n my religion we dnt judge ppl, & walk away.
Other times its ppl yellin "HATCHET MAN" whn they see my tat on my shoulder lol

i mean in the place i live!i am considered dang cool and stuff and the girls are crazy over here!!!
i moved here 2 months ago and i actually m liking it coz i never got this amount of attention although i got it b4 but not this much !!!!
lifes good but i agree it cud be annoiying when its in longterm but right now i am enjoying this

Yes, and my boyfriend teases me that he can't leave me alone anywhere because people just start talking to me. I think he should be concerned that they never talk to me when he's around - ha ha ha!

not to me, but my bf gets that all the time. it's kinda annoying. this happens to him in person, on xbox360, facebook, etc...people that do not know him feel the need to just let him in their lives. i think some people just have a look that makes people do that, or they have this charismatic energy that just draws people to them. (my bf, btw, does not have a welcoming look)

Yup. Most days. Hey, where do you get your tattoos? Whoa. How long have you been growing your hair? Can you wash that? That must be heavy when its wet. Etc.............
