      now that he is aware you are interested in him, the ball is in his court. the smile makes me think it's a good sign.

      next time you see him, say "Hey, you owe me a note!"

        Someone told me just because i gave him my email and stuff
        doesn't mean he will call me.
        He won't call its not that he isn't interested, he is, he's just 'very cautious'
        because shy people want to be sure.

          That was me, very shy, and very cautious! I was watching TV on New Years Eve, watching the ball drop in Times Square. The girl watching with me was a friend, but otherwise nobody special, and she asked for a New Years kiss. I was thinking "where is this leading?" If I kiss her are things going to get out of hand? Is it going to go someplace I'm not ready to go to? She said, "well?" And I said, "I'm thinking". Next thing I know I'm waking up the next morning, still sitting on the couch in front of the TV, but she had left. By the time I got home from work the next day I had it all thought out, I realized she was a really special girl, and I was totally prepared to go wherever, with her. She got her kiss.
